Six Leading Healthcare Organizations Select New Summit Exchange Platform to Enhance Care Delivery
Braintree, Mass., February 7, 2017 (HIMSS Booth #3979)Summit Healthcare, a leader in healthcare integration and automation, today announced that it has released the latest version of its integration platform, Summit Exchange 1.2. Summit Exchange builds upon Summit Healthcare’s proven interoperability solution suite by merging current integration technologies into one seamless and secure platform. Six leading healthcare organizations will be implementing Summit Exchange to enhance continuity of care while managing evolving interoperability standards and regulatory requirements.
In the era of value-based care and hospital consolidation, the ability to manage all hospital and patient data from one centralized location is vital for financial and care coordination success. Six healthcare organizations, including Oneida Healthcare, Cayuga Medical Center, Orthopedic and Spine Hospital Oasis Hospital, Parkview Medical Center, and Pella Regional Health Center, have recognized this need for simplified data integration, and selected Summit Exchange to support their patient safety and quality goals.
“Summit Healthcare has demonstrated a deep understanding of our need to properly manage and integrate data in a cost-efficient manner,” said James Hruby, Project Manager at Parkview Medical Center. “With Summit Exchange, we will be able to increase enterprise-wide responsiveness, reduce workloads, and take connectivity to the next level, allowing us to offer the best care possible to our patients.”
The scalable platform delivers standards-based interface support, allowing hospitals, health systems, ACOs, practices, clinics and vendors to successfully connect disparate systems, gather and normalize data, and streamline data exchange. Summit Exchange is the first integration engine technology certified by the ONC via Drummond Group LLC, designating that the software enables eligible providers to meet Meaningful Use requirements and receive payments under the ongoing EHR adoption program. In addition, Summit Exchange successfully completed testing in 12 ‘Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE)’ profiles with 20 testing partners at the 2017 North American IHE Connectathon, proving its superior data exchange functionality.
“Summit Exchange is the latest evolution to our integration engine technology, helping our customers face complex integration challenges head-on and providing them with a framework for the future,” said Ted Rossi, President and CEO of Summit Healthcare. “We are proud to offer healthcare organizations a solution that fills interoperability gaps while offering scalability, flexibility and long-term value.”
Summit Healthcare will be available to discuss the newest version of Summit Exchange at HIMSS17, taking place February 19-23, 2017 in Orlando, FL. Visit them at booth #3979.
