RCCH HealthCare Partners Selects Summit Exchange to Streamline Interoperability Across Multiple Organizations

Summit Healthcare Supports RCCH HealthCare Partners in Consolidating Around a Single Interoperability Platform to Improve Efficiency and Reduce Workload
Braintree, Mass., July 27, 2017Summit Healthcare is pleased to announce a new partnership with RCCH HealthCare Partners to assist them with their interoperability goals. Based in Brentwood, Tennessee, RCCH HealthCare Partners is comprised of 17 regional health systems located in 13 states. They have more than 14,000 employees and 2,000 affiliated physicians and mid-level providers.
After a procurement process that included major healthcare interface engine companies, RCCH selected Summit Exchange, Summit Healthcare’s interface engine which solves information exchange challenges to streamline patient care, and help meet interoperability and regulatory objectives. The interface engine, along with Summit Healthcare’s migration services, will enable RCCH to easily deploy, implement, and manage all interface activity for numerous hospitals through a centralized platform and a single diagnostic monitor.
“Summit Healthcare understands our need to properly manage patient and hospital data in a more efficient, streamlined, and cost effective manner,” said Shonn Stanley, Director of Ancillary & Interface Systems at RCCH HealthCare Partners. “With Summit Exchange, we will be able to implement one interoperability platform across our multiple organizations, and take connectivity to the next level, without burdening our staff with an increased workload.”
Previously, hospitals in the RCCH network each maintained their own interface engines.  Being able to streamline all interface activity from a single source will provide economies of scale and greater efficiencies. One of the key features RCCH was looking for was an interfacing solution where little programming was required to develop and maintain interfaces. Summit Exchange was designed to be incredibly intuitive and user friendly, with the end-user in mind. Common interfaces can be saved into reusable templates for easier buildout of the environment. This saves time and speeds up the development of interfaces, especially for sites that support multiple facilities. Another benefit RCCH required from the technology was the ability to communicate with any vendor. Summit Exchange supports all of the latest interoperability standard protocols including HL7, IHE, Direct Messaging, and Web services.
“Summit Exchange is the latest evolution to our integration engine technology, helping our customers face complex integration challenges head-on and providing them with a framework for the future,” said Ted Rossi, CEO of Summit Healthcare. “We are proud to offer healthcare organizations a solution that fills interoperability gaps while offering scalability, flexibility and long-term value.”
Summit Exchange is a powerful, proven and cost-effective interoperability platform to establish seamless data exchange, addressing a wide range of technology, information integration, and automation challenges from the simple to the extremely complex. Summit Exchange uses standards-based interface support, allowing Hospitals, Health Systems, ACOs, Practices, Clinics and Vendors to successfully connect to disparate systems, gather and normalize data, and streamline connectivity, communication, and data interoperability. Whether an organization is looking to integrate with ancillary vendors, vendor monitors, physician practices, another Hospital, or an HIE, Exchange delivers a centralized, scalable platform for addressing interoperability goals.
